| Hello Curlers We have a few updates to share from our fundraising meeting last night. In general, we have received a tremendous amount of support from our current and past members as well as organizations and companies in our community after hearing about our compressor. Before we get into those details, here are three dates you need to save: -Saturday, March 14th: Learn-to-Curl at 9AM – We need volunteers – RSVP -Saturday, March 21st: Club Fundraiser at 5PM – 9PM – Come support us -March 27-30th: Shirtsleeve Bonspiel – Why we’re all here – REGISTER Fundraiser: The compressor replacement, when all said and done, is approximately $60,000. While we, as a club, are financially prepared to pay this, it represents multiple years of income and more or less puts us back to square one in terms of improvements, services, and offerings. We have decided to hold a club fundraiser night on March 21st from 5-9PM at the curling club. We will have a dinner available to all who attend with free will offering combined with raffles, games, and prizes. Might even do a fun contest or two on the ice. We currently have a 1-2 organizations who are offering to match the amount we fundraise this night, so we really want it to be a success. While we understand not everyone A) Is going to be there that weekend or B) Is not in a financial position to donate, we have a couple of alternative options for you:If you cannot attend, but are willing to donate we have a few options for you: Venmo: @minotcurling Square: https://minot-curling-club.square.site/ Raffle Prize Donation – message us Business donations – we can provide 501c3 paperwork If you can’t financially donate, but want to help: We need volunteers for events at the ND State Fair (like last year). The Fair has agreed to give us free rent for a couple months if we can fill these slots. We are looking for 20 people on Mon & Tues, and hopefully can find 40 for Wed. HERE is the link to sign up. |
